Mobile money and bank accounts are the part of the Bangladeshi market under the most direct pressure. In September 2023 the financial intelligence unit BFIU suspended 21,725 mobile-money accounts over alleged links to online gambling and hundi, and The Business Standard reported that most were bKash, Nagad and Rocket accounts. In November 2025 Bangladesh Bank reportedly told 13 mobile-financial-service operators to halt gambling-linked transactions, and in August 2026 police told the Daily Observer that about 3,864 mobile-money accounts were being used for gambling.
The 2026 Act also treats moving gambling proceeds through banks, wallets, hundi or crypto as a money-laundering predicate offence. So a site that lists bKash, Nagad, Rocket or a crypto coin does not make the deposit safe or lawful, and an account used this way can be flagged, frozen or confiscated. Never use another person's SIM, national ID or wallet: the Act reports a separate, heavier penalty for that.
Bangladesh has no minimum-age or self-exclusion framework for online gambling, so any responsible-gambling tools come from the operator's own licence. If gambling is affecting your money, relationships or wellbeing, talk to someone you trust and to a doctor or counsellor. We have not verified a Bangladeshi gambling helpline, so we do not list one.
